The original (and still the most popular) blue Curaçao.

This is one of the older liqueurs still in production by Bols, who have been in the distilling business since 1575. The liqueur was originally known as Crème de Ciel, literally “Cream of the Sky” – a reference to its blue colour.

The liqueur is made using intensely fragrant bitter orange rind, and takes its colouring from a food-safe colourant called Brilliant Blue (E133).

Bols Blue Curaçao offers simple flavours of orange, flowers and slight citrus rind.

Prized more for its bright colouring than its flavour, this liqueur is required for all sorts of vividly coloured cocktails, such as the Blue Lagoon.
