A wonderfully fruity and spicy gin from Welsh distillery Aber Falls.
Long term, Aber Falls (which is located in Abergwyngregyn, North Wales) has plans to produce single malt whisky. Indeed, it is the first new distillery in the area for over a hundred years. Whisky, with its maturation stipulations, takes a little while to produce, whereas gin can be made in a matter of days. With this in mind, Aber Falls have decided to produce some lovely gins to keep us all going until their whisky hits the shelves.
Rhubarb and ginger is a classic combination for crumbles and pies, and this gin captures the essence perfectly, offering flavours of: tangy rhubarb, pine-like juniper, some slightly oily spices, black pepper, bright fiery ginger and a touch of sweet citrus.
The distillery suggest serving this gin with apple juice, for the full apple and rhubarb crumble effect!
