A gin produced by the Aber Falls Distillery, which is located in North Wales. Aber Falls has plans to produce its own whisky, and indeed, it will be the first new whisky distillery in the area for more than hundred years.
As we all know, however, whisky takes time to make, so in the meantime the distillery has produced this cracking gin. The gin is made using locally sourced botanicals from the hills and valleys of North Wales. These botanicals remain a mystery, but we would hazard to guess that the gin contains citrus and locally gathered herbs and spices.
The gin serves up a strong, dry juniper note, followed by a sharp blast of citrus, slight vanilla, some flowers and a little peppery spice.
The distillery suggest serving this gin in a classic dry Martini with entwined lemon and lime rinds.
