A lovely bottling from popular Italian brandy distillery, Vecchia Romagna.
The spirit has been produced in two types of still: a continuous column still, and a traditional alembic in the Charentais style, which necessitates batch distillation. This expression contains a blend of brandies aged in three different styles of cask. The oldest of these brandies has been aged for up to 15 years. The three cask varieties are: French oak barriques, large Slavonian oak barrels, and tonneaux, casks which had previously held Italian red wine.
The final product is a wonderfully fruity and sweet brandy, which offers up notes of candied apricots, cloves, pressed violets, vanilla, honey, spiced oak, coffee, orange rind, red grapes, wine tannins, pastry and dark chocolate.
A really impressive bottling from the world’s best-selling Italian brandy house.
