This bottling has been finished for 8 months in St Émilion wine bottles, with a total age of 6 years. The Saint-Émilion AOC is one of the finest areas in the Bordeaux region, with the 5,400 hectares of vineyards producing some of the best Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. The use of the red wine cask has added delightful red fruit and spice flavours to the Jamaican rum.
Drinkers can expect notes of funky Jamaican molasses, vanilla, red fruits, chocolate, cinnamon, black pepper, bananas, toffee, mango and rich oak.
Bottled at 46.5% ABV and without chill filtration or colouration, this is a satisfyingly full bodied rum.
Just 310 bottles were drawn from the single cask.
