This single malt whisky from the Tullibardine distillery was firstly matured in classic American oak ex-bourbon barrels, before being transferred into barrel, or so called “Piéces”, that previously held exquisite Burgundy wine. These casks were sourced from the world famous Chateau de Chassagne Montrachet. Traditionally, in Burgundy, a Piecé holds 228 liters, hence this whisky’s name.
