Tomatin’s popular 12 year received a new look and formula in 2016.

The dram is now aged in Bourbon barrels, before being finished for up to nine months in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, producing a balanced final product which showcases the effects of both barrel varieties.

This bottling serves up notes of raisins, oak, vanilla, slight eucalyptus, ginger, cinnamon spice, a touch of nutty sherry, orange rind and red fruits.

A great entry to this distillery’s range, all the better for being bottled at 43% ABV.
