A high quality 5 year old rum from esteemed Barbados producer Foursquare.

The Real McCoy takes its name from Prohibition-era smuggler Bill McCoy, who was renowned for never adulterating his merchandise, and never getting involved in organised crime. This led to the phrase “The Real McCoy” being coined, an expression of something’s quality and authenticity.

This bottling is certainly both authentic and high quality. The rum is matured entirely in heavily charred American oak Bourbon barrels.

The final result is a rum packed with notes of vanilla, molasses, brown sugar, toffee, dark oak, chocolate, bananas, tropical fruit, nutmeg, cloves and allspice.

Complex and sophisticated, with a strong Bourbon character, this is a rum well suited to either mixing or sipping.
