A gin that will appeal to the intrepid drinker!
This offering from the Lakes distillery in Cumbria, North West England, offers the drinker the chance to explore the Lake District’s flora.
This gin is produced with 14 different botanicals, four of which are native to the Cumbrian area: Lake District juniper, bilberry, heather and hawthorn.
The gin is produced with a wheat spirit based, distilled in a pot still for extra body and texture. It is produced with Cumbrian water from the River Derwent, and distilled slowly in small batches.
The result is a fresh, complex and herbaceous gin, with plenty of peppery spice, fragrant botanical notes and citrus brightness.
Lakes Explorer is bottled at a higher ABV of 47.1%, which allows the flavours to really shine through, in even the most complex cocktails.
