Not to be confused with the band “The Dubliners” or James Joyce’s classic collection of short stories, this is a wonderful blended Irish whiskey that captures the spirit of a city! A mixture of grain and malt whiskies, this is a smooth and approachable dram, and a testament to the skill and guile of Master Blender John Drennan. This dram has been matured in former Bourbon casks. On the nose, this whiskey opens with subtle floral and orchard fruit aromas, a little honey, some grassy grain and bright vanilla oak. The palate is soft and drinkable, with notes of toffee, golden toasted malt, spicy pepper, overripe bananas, and creamy vanilla. The finish is reasonably long and sweet. A perfect option for an easy-going dram.
