A flavoursome Amaro from the fine folk at the Bitter Truth. Established in 2006, the Bitter Truth swiftly established an excellent reputation for producing high quality cocktail bitters, and are identified as one of the companies responsible for the renaissance of bitters as an industry.

This bottling (sometimes stylised as E**X**R) is produced with a maceration of specially selected herbs. It offers up notes of lemon rind, spruce, mint, bitter gentian, sugared rhubarb, chocolate, coffee and subtle earthy spice. The liqueur has a sweeter flavour than many Amaro, allowing it to stray into sweet vermouth territory a little (indeed, the bottling is produced at the Dolin factory in Chambery, France).

A superb digestif when served chilled before dinner, this liqueur also does well when mixed into a Negroni or Manhattan
