A beautiful, higher strength bottling of the classic blue-bottled gin. Here the classic botanicals of angelica, coriander and of course, juniper, have been enriched with the accompaniment of ambrette seeds and bergamot. This gives the gin a slightly “Earl Grey” feeling, with a new-found intensity. The gin is named after a large sapphire (actually originating from Sri Lanka), which was purchased the silent film star Mary Pickford. She later bequeathed it to the Smithsonian museum. This gin is successful in capturing all the beauty and allure of that fabulous gem.
