A massive, one litre bottling of Singleton of Dufftown Trinité! Originally destined to be a travel retail only release, luckily we’ve managed to get our hands on a few bottles. Trinité refers to three part aging that the spirit undergoes before bottling, being aged individually in European and American oak casks, before being married together for further aging. This creates an exceptionally well balanced complex whisky. The nose is classic Dufftown, with beautiful notes of orchard fruits, toffee and malt. Aromas of fresh espresso and dark chocolate come with time, giving this nose a bittersweet and appealing character. The palate is thick and buttery, with flavours of dried fruit, dark oak, espresso, chocolate, almonds, grass, stewed apple and cinnamon. The finish is short, sweet and spicy, with a little toffee. Another excellent Dufftown whisky!
