Another bottling in the super popular Diageo Game of Thrones series, created to celebrate the final season of the biggest show on TV in 2019.
House Tully is famous for producing Catelyn Tully, later Stark, the wife of Ned Stark, who begins the show as Warden of the North, one of the most powerful offices in Westeros. House Tully is found in Riverrun, in the watery region of the Riverlands, an important region in the central area of the Seven Kingdoms.
Similarly, Glendullan is found close to the banks of the river Fiddich, one of the most significant water sources in the production of Scotch whisky.
Glendullan is not often seen as an official bottling, other than the Singleton series. Distillation here is slow, and fermentation long, producing a fruity, grassier style of spirit, befitting of the verdant Riverlands.
The whisky itself serves up notes of red berries, vanilla, grapes, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, oak, toffee, chocolate, plums, figs, malt and slight grassy hay.
The bottling is presented with House Tully’s sigil, a leaping fish, on the label.
An excellent whisky in its own right, this is also perfect for anyone looking to complete their collection of Game of Thrones whiskies.
