A very interesting gin indeed, made in Spain by the Sikkim gin company.
Sikkim takes its name from a northeastern Indian state, and is known for using tea from this area in their spirits.
This particular bottling really emphasises fresh, green flavours. The gin uses botanicals of juniper, red tea, floral essences, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious and other, different, varieties of green apples, mint, coriander, iris, calamus and bitter orange peel.
The result is a complex and incredibly refreshing gin, packed with bright apple flavours, warming earthy tea, pressed flower, bittering citrus and juniper, and a refreshing burst of menthol.
An unusual gin that genuinely offers something different in a crowded market. The spirit is bottled in a striking green colour-scheme that ensures this gin is memorable in every sense.
Top stuff from Sikkim.
