This rum is the product of pot still distillation in the Dominican Republic, and has been aged in Bourbon casks, in a solera system. According to Oliver and Oliver, this rum has been matured for over 23 years.
The rum has a fantastic body, with a thick and creamy mouthfeel. The palate is rich in salted caramel, baking spices, dried and tropical fruit flavours with some aromas of tobacco, smouldering oak and oily nuts featuring.
A truly superb rum, that retains perfect balance between spirit and cask, despite its prodigious age. One that every rum connoisseur will want to try.
