A fascinatingly smoky release from Panamanian rum brand, Ron Abuelo.

Two Oaks has been matured in two different varieties of oak cask. Initially, the rum was aged in Bourbon barrels, before being moved into heavily-charred virgin American oak casks for a final finish.

The end product is a spirit that offers notes of rich charred oak, wood smoke, espresso, chocolate-covered raisins, vanilla, toasted almond flakes, cream and brown sugar.

A very different character to most Panama rums – the smoky element adds complexity and depth.
