From probably the world’s most famous Tequila house comes this “Roca Anejo”.
The Roca series differs from Patron’s regular lineup as it is made using the Tahona process, an extremely labour intensive process in which a 2 ton stone wheel is used to crush up the agave. This is much less efficient than the industry standard roller-mill method, but it does ensure a small batch production and a rustic approach.
This Tequila is made using 100% blue weber agave, and has been aged for 14 months in former Bourbon barrels. The result is a complex and delicious spirit, with flavours of grapefruit, almond, fresh agave, vanilla, oak, smoke, and peppery spice.
One of the very best expressions to come out of the famous old house of Patron, this is one that every serious Tequila-lover has to try.
