We are big fans of Martinique distillery Rhum J.M here at Fine Drams, and this is an excellent example of their high quality spirit.

A Rhum Agricole, this is produced using the fresh pressed juice of the sugar cane, as opposed to molasses or other sugar by products. The result is a distinctive, more fragrant and grassier style of rum.

This bottling was made using sugar cane grown on Rhum J.M’s volcanic Habitation Bellevue, one of the most fertile areas in the world for growing cane.

The rum has not been aged following distillation, but has been rested in stainless steel tanks for around 4 months.

The result is a crisp fresh rum, with powerful grassy sugar cane flavours, and touches of spice, lime rind and banana.

Bottled at 50% ABV this bottling offers a concentrated sugar cane character, and would make for a great base for cocktails.
