Rhum Agricole takes as its base the pressed juice of the sugar cane, which is fermented, as opposed to molasses and Demerara. Alongside Clement, Rhum J.M. can count itself as one of the best Agricole producers. They distill in traditional column stills, and grow their cane on a volcano! The rich soil of Mount Pelée provides the perfect fertile land on which to grow cane. This white rum is a cut above the average, offering lovely grassy Agricole notes, that add depth and complexity. On the nose this rum greets the drinker with aromas of powdered sugar, cane juice, lime peel and estery fruits. The palate brings a little cream and pepper spice, with some succulent fruits and a grassy cane flavour. The finish is sweet and slightly mineralic.
