A beguiling rum from the Dominican Republic, which has been finished in American oak barrels that previously held peated whisky from a Speyside Scotch distillery.

The result is a well-aged rum with a delicate waft of peat smoke running through it. Drinkers should expect notes of clean molasses, treacle tart, vanilla, chocolate, pineapple, earthy peat smoke, toffee, burnt brown sugar and ripe bananas.

A definite break from the norm – Islay Scotch fans would be wise to give this one a crack!
