Raymond Ragnaud are one of Cognac’s most esteemed and respected houses. They remain family owned, having first been established way back in 1860. The distillery has a strong commitment to producing the highest quality Cognac possible, only using grape grown in the Grande Champagne region, and never colouring their products artificially. This is another example of a top-notch Raymond Ragnaud Cognac. The Selection Cognac has been aged for 4 years in oak casks in the Maison’s cellars, giving this spirit an excellent balance between youthful vigour, and dignified maturity. On the nose, aromas of stewed tea, sweet grapes, fresh herbs, lime peel and salted caramel waft up. The palate opens with a bright, coppery mouthfeel, flavours of ginger, fresh apples, grapes and warm golden honey. The finish is short, with vanilla oak and sweet grapes appearing. A wonderfully balance and sweet Cognac, ideal for drinking regularly or using to add a little luxury to Cognac cocktails.
