A liqueur from Alsatian producer, Nusbaumer.

Asperule, more commonly known in English as Woodruff, is a type of sweet-smelling plant used to flavour wine for centuries.

Traditionally, the flowers and the leaves of the plant were macerated In dry white wines. In this case, they have been infused with alcohol, to produce a herbaceous, concentrated spirit.

A sugar syrup is added to this liqueur, with a final strength of 30% ABV.

The end product is a floral and herbal liqueur, with notes of cut grass, fresh herbs, honeysuckle, sweet flowers, chamomile tea and vanilla.

Best enjoyed chilled, as an aperitif.
