A fascinating whisky from the Nomad brand, which is the brainchild of famed master distiller Richard Paterson and highly esteemed Sherry producers Gonzalez Byass.
This dram begins with a blend of malt and grain whiskies distilled and initially aged in Scotland. The blend was then transported to the Gonzalez Byass’s home at the Spanish heartlands of Sherry-making in Jerez. Nomad by name, Nomad by nature.
It’s then housed in Gonzalez Byass Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry casks for a finishing period, developing heaps of fruity, spicy character.
Nomad 10 serves up intense Sherry character, with notes of plums, raisins, prunes, figs, dried cherries and cranberries, sweet grain, molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, leather, vanilla, brazil nuts, damp oak, red wine, walnuts and dark chocolate.
A veritable Sherry bomb that will appeal to fans of that style.
