A super premium dark rum from Licores Veracruz, a distillery found in Cordoba, a town in south-central Mexico. This is a tremendous 20 year old rum drawn from a single white European Oak barrel, as opposed to the Solera system used for the 10 year old. The distillery’s location close to the Gulf of Mexico means that it is ideally placed for the long aging of spirit, with perfect temperature and humidity levels. During the long 20 years of maturation this rum has developed fabulously deep dried fruit flavours, with some burnt sugar and dark, intense stone fruit. Simply staggering value for money, it is rare to see a single barrel of any spirit at this price, let alone a quality rum such as this. Aside from tasting delicious, the spirit is visually incredibly impressive. The bottle is presented decorated with natural bark fibres inspired by the traditional art of the area and designed by Victor Fernández, after all this is the Edición de Arte (Art Edition). A hidden gem of the rum world.
