A characterful white rum from Albert Michlers, produced using Jamaican and Trinidadian spirit.
Albert Michlers was founded back in the 19th century, in what is now the Czech Republic, but what was the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the time. The current company operates out of the UK, and is more of a spiritual successor to the original, than a direct descendent.
This rum is produced using the highest quality Jamaican and Trinidadian molasses. The spirit has been distilled in Pot stills (at the Hampden Estate distillery) and Column stills (at Angostura distillery). The combination of these two styles of spirit produces a well-balanced and complex rum.
This rum has been matured for between 1 and 3 years, with the spirit then filtered for colour. The result is a white rum with far more character than the standard.
The bottling offers notes of funky molasses, toffee, sugar cane, lime rind, white sugar, funky tropical fruits, guava and vanilla.
A terrific base for Tiki cocktails.
