A tasty overproof Caribbean rum produced by the Albert Michler company.
Albert Michler was one of the oldest rum makers of the old Austro-Hungarian empire, having been established in Silesia in 1863. Silesia is now part of the Czech republic, and Albert Michler Ltd. is based in the UK – with the original company serving as their inspiration.
Produced using pure Jamaican and Trinidadian molasses, this rum is distilled in pot and column stills at the Hampden and Angostura distilleries, before it is matured for around two years in white oak barrels. It is then filtered for colour.
The result is a rum that serves up flavours of intense molasses, spice, sugar cane, lime rind, bright apricot and peach, citrus juice and Jamaican funk.
Funky, fresh and powerful, this overproof rum would be perfect for use in cocktails.
