A Greek Ouzo produced by the famous Metaxa brand.

This anise flavoured spirit is in fact made with 10 different botanicals, some of which are said to be unusual for Ouzo production.

The final result is a powerful aromatic Ouzo, with notes of anise, fennel, black liquorice candy, white sugar and peppery spice.

Louches nicely with ice water, but also delicious served chilled as a shot after dinner.
