A well-made Italian gin, produced in the Torino Distillati (which dates back to 1906) by the Vergnano family – who have been making gin since the 1970s.
The bottling takes its name from the Amalfi Coast, said to be home to some of the best lemons in the world.
This Originale bottling is made with a base of Italian grain spirit, and diluted with spring water from the nearby Monviso mountain spring, the highest natural spring in Italy. The imagery of the bottling’s label reflects the colours of the snowy peak.
The is made with Italian juniper and coriander, and five further botanicals including citrus, cassia and angelica.
Malfy Originale serves up notes of spicy coriander, liquorice, anise, bright and bittersweet juniper, citrus rind and cinnamon.
Crisp and delicious, this makes an excellent Gin and Tonic.
