The third entry in Macallan’s Travel Retail Quest series, following on the heels of Quest (the bottling) and Lumina.

Terra is made with whisky matured in 100% sherry seasoned casks, constructed of both European and American oak. Macallan states that they have been sourced from two of the finest cooperage families in the world. “Terra” takes its name from the Latin for Earth, a reference to the fact that the casks for this whisky come from either side of the world.

This is a classic Macallan bottling, packed with flavours of juicy plums, jammy cherries and blackberries, dried fruits, sherry, ginger, lemon zest, toffee apple, dark chocolate, nutmeg, cloves and dark oak.

Bottled at 43.8% ABV, this gives the whisky a little more warmth and intensity.
