The Macallan Quest: to be the greatest distillery in the world!

Whilst this is true, the name actually refers to the extreme lengths the distillery goes to to find its oak casks.

With superb releases like this, they are well on their way. This whisky was originally destined for the travel retail market, but happily we’ve managed to get our hands on a few bottles.

Matured in no less than four different kinds of cask, this whisky has seen aging in sherry-seasoned European oak, sherry-seasoned American oak, hogsheads and former Bourbon casks.

The result is a spicy, rich and oaky dram, with strong flavours of chocolate, espresso, citrus, vanilla, dried fruit and baking spices.

A really enjoyable Macallan offering, that fans of this distillery will love.
