An extremely rare and limited edition bottling from Macallan. Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this is one of the most beautifully presented whiskies from the famous old distillery.

Oscuro takes its name from the Spanish word for ‘dark’, which is often applied to cigars (this dram makes an ideal pairing, if you were wondering). The whisky itself is made with spirit from 1987 and 1997, and is deeply sherried.

Upon tasting, this dram transports you into a room of mahogany and leather furniture, with dark oak panelling all around. The oak gives way to flavours of toffee, dried fruits, cigar smoke, cacoa nibs, intense sherry, cracked black pepper, citrus rind, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. The dram finishes with a slightly herbaceous and tannin sherry note.

Oscuro is bottled at 46.5% ABV, without colouring and in the most astonishingly beautiful bottle, which is in turn presented in a suave gift box.
