A very interesting single barrel whiskey from American craft producer Koval.

Millet is a cereal prized very highly across Asia and Africa. In Nepal it is often a base for spirits. That said, this is the first “Single Millet” whiskey produced anywhere in the world.

This bottling is produced with 100% organic millet sourced from a farmer local to the distillery, and is aged in new American oak from Minnesota.

The result is a biscuity, grain-led whisky, with some liqourice spice, caramel sweetness and powerful warm cereal flavours. A little apple and oak emerges after a while.

A wholly unique and extremely fascinating whiskey, which offers the chance to try something totally new.
