A good quality 12 year old Irish Single Malt, produced at the Bushmills distillery.
Knappogue Castle (after which the whiskey is named) is actually found on the other side of the island from Bushmills, in County Clare. The castle was constructed in 1467 by the MacNamara clan.
Triple distilled, and aged in former Bourbon casks for 12 years, this bottling offers a clear, clean flavour of Irish Single Malt.
Knappogue Castle offers up notes of rich biscuit like malt, peppery spice, a little cream, honey, brown sugar, vanilla, almond, grassy grain, bright oak, fruit and toffee.
A high quality Irish single malt, produced without use of colouration.
