Part of the Explorer’s Club Series, this was originally destined to be a travel retail only release, before we managed to get our hands on some. This is a whisky designed by the famous blending company to recall the Royal Route. This was a trade path along which the most luxurious treasures of history were shipped, including precious spices and silks, diamonds, rare metals, pearls and other gems, coming to Europe from Persia and Asia Minor. In creating this whisky Johnnie Walker chose the most luxurious and richly flavoured whiskies, recalling the depth of history and the beauty of the route and its cargo. The whisky itself lives up to the billing, rich and flavourful, with delicious notes of prunes, plums, sea-spray, orchard fruit and tobacco smoke. A truly remarkable blend.
