What began initially as an experiment between Johnnie Walker Blenders Jim Beveridge and George Harper has birthed this rather wonderful bottling.

Based around a core of Caol Ila, which provides maritime peat notes, the blend is something like an alternative Johnnie Walker Black Label. Matching “Sweet” to the “Peat” is a raft of unpeated whiskies, including Cardhu (the heart of so many Diageo blends) and sherry matured Glendullen.

The result is a delightful blended whisky, with delicious cereal and toffee flavours, accompanied by sherried fruits and elegant peat smoke.

Something a little different from Johnnie Walker, that will please Black Label fans.
