Johnnie Walker’s ‘Discover’ Miniature set, which includes 50ml bottlings of its most celebrated blends: Black Label, Double Black, Gold Label Reserve and 18 Year Old.

Johnnie Walker Black Label is the cornerstone blend from the iconic brand. Aged for 12 years, the blend contains spirit from distilleries including Clynelish, Cardhu, Glenkinchie, Cameronbridge and Caol Ila. The end result is a slightly smoky whisky, with notes of white pepper, oak, cinnamon, malt, peat smoke, dried fruits, citrus rind, rosemary, toffee, cream and brown sugar.

Double Black is a peatier version of the classic Black Label, and has been matured in casks made of heavily charred oak. The end product is richly flavoured dram, with notes of intense peat, wood smoke, vanilla, barbecue sauce, lemon rind, sweet malt, creamy oak, warming spice, buttered toast and sea salt.

Gold Label Reserve is a premium Johnnie Walker blend, which is centred around the waxy spirit of Clynelish, but also contains whisky from Cardhu, Blair Athol and Cameronbridge distilleries. A sweet and honeyed whisky, this dram offers notes of bananas, caramel, nutmeg, dried flowers, cinnamon, cloves, toffee, milk chocolate, sweet malt, a little marmalade, oak and oily lemon rind.

Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old is a well aged, flagship expression from the brand. The blend has fabulous pedigree, containing 18 different whiskies, including spirit from Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol. Drinkers can expect notes of toasted nuts, milk chocolate, a little smoke, orange rind, flowers, dried fruits, malt, honey, caramel apples, cinnamon, raisins and sweet oak.
