This Johnnie Walker blend was recently added to the blender’s enviable range, to celebrate the Royal Warrant first being granted to the company by King George V in 1934. An intensely flavoured blend, and a real testament to the blender’s nuanced art, this is an opulent dram. Made strictly from distilleries that were operating during the King’s quarter-century reign (1910–1936), this whisky includes whisky from distilleries that have since closed their doors, such as the renowned Port Ellen. Cardhu and Royal Lochnagar also feature prominently in this blend. Deliciously chocolaty, with highlights of orange rind and nuts. This whisky is artfully presented in a flint glass decanter with accents that reflect the classic slanting label of the Johnnie Walker brand. Truly a must-try dram for fans of blended whiskies.
