Aficionados x Fine Drams Lot 75 is a very old Cognac produced in the village of Saint-Preuil in the Grande Champagne region. It was bottled for us by Jean-Luc Pasquet at a natural cask strength of 54.2% ABV, and showcases a balance of big deep rich red fruits and well-aged tannin. Notes of cacao, black cherries, saffron, and burnt caramel meet orange peels, dry dusty oak, and echoes of rancio. Selected blind by a panel from the Aficionados Discord server, this complex and attractive Cognac is a great example of a more rustic style.
