A good quality entry-level dram from the Isle of Jura distillery.

This bottling replaced Jura Origin when Isle of Jura decided to revamp their core range of whiskies in early 2018.

The spirit is initially matured in American white oak former Bourbon barrels, before being finished for a time in Oloroso sherry butts. In total, the whisky is aged for 10 years.

The final product is a whisky that serves up notes of subtle, slightly oily wood smoke (a classic Jura note), honeyed malt, raisins, cinnamon, burnt oak, peaches, vanilla, a little earthy spice, milk chocolate and grassy peat.

Fans of the old Origin whisky will not be disappointed, this is an excellent introduction to the Jura spirit.
