A delicious gin from Norway, named after Harahorn, a mountain in the Hemsedal area of Norway. The name first originated with the legend of a horned hare, a somewhat disturbing prospect.
The gin itself is produced in tiny batches, of just 400 litres at a time. All the labour of production is done manually, and the botanicals are all carefully weighed individually, for precision. These botanicals are mostly gathered from Norway, with blueberries from Nordmarka, rhubarb and bladderwrack from Grimstad, juniper berries from Røros, wild marjoram from Sunndal and angelica from Oppdal.
The final result is a berry forward gin, with notes of dry juniper, blueberry, tangy rhubarb, mint, spice, sea-spray, cracked black pepper and pine.
Harahorn is bottled at 46% ABV for a little more warmth and body.
Subtle and fruity, this would make an excellent Clover Club.
