Hankey Bannister was originally named after a spirits and wine merchants that itself dates back to 1757. The blend was launched in the 1890s, and quickly found popularity amongst the British upper classes. These days, the brand is owned by Diageo, and remains a popular seller.

The bottling contains grain and malt whiskies from around Scotland. The result is a sweet and supple whisky with a bright cereal sweetness, and notes of apples, pears, rye-like spices, vanilla, oats, buttery toast, cream, honey and a little oak.

A tasty and surprisingly delicious blend, perfect for a daily drinker or for splashing into cocktails.
