A cracking Jamaican rum from the esteemed Hampden Estate.

Distilled in traditional copper pot stills from molasses, this is a traditional style of rum, made in the LROK (Light Rum Owen Kelly) marque style. This style usually has esters of between 300-400 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol.

As such, there is some funk to this expression, with notes of fresh pineapple, mangoes, pepper, bananas, oak, dense molasses, lime rind, allspice and cocoa.

Definitely of interest to the rum purist, this spirit could be sipped, or splashed into cocktails.
