A gift pack of five 200ml miniatures containing some of legendary port producer Graham’s most popular wines.
Graham’s Selection consists of Graham’s Fine White Port, Graham’s 2017 Late Bottled Vintage (LBV), Graham’s iconic Six Grapes blend, Graham’s 10 Tawny Port and Graham’s 20 Tawny Port.
Graham’s Fine White is a light, refreshing and delicate wine made entirely with traditional white grapes from the Douro Valley, including Códega, Malvasia Fina, Rabigato and Viosinho. The result is a supple, fruity wine with notes of sweet grapes, almonds, subtle vanilla, herbs and green apples. Delicious served with tonic.
The 2017 LBV is the product of one the driest vintages on record at the Douro – producing grapes with incredibly concentrated flavour. The wine has been made with grapes including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca, mostly grown at Graham’s own vineyards. The wine was matured in large oak casks for five years prior to being bottled. This port is rich and decadent, with notes of black fruits, cherry wine, plums, dark chocolate, subtle mint, toffee, pineapple, red grapes and brown sugar.
Six Grapes is a traditional reserve port that has been made since the 1800s. The bottling takes its name from the brand mark that used to feature on barrels of Graham’s Port. The wine itself is aged for two years in seasoned vats before bottling, ensuring a well balanced, bright and fresh port. Six Grapes delivers notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, liquorice, cherry candy, cola cubes, plums, red grapes, toffee and subtle oak.
Graham’s 10 Tawny Port is a classic rendition of the Tawny style. Aged for an average of 10 years in large oak casks, the wine offers flavours of figs, honey, nuts, mellow oak, vanilla, dried fruits, apples, grapes and dark chocolate. Best enjoyed served slightly chilled.
Finally, Graham’s 20 Tawny Port is wonderfully well-aged Tawny, and a true taste of luxury. This wine has been aged for an average of 20 years in seasoned oak casks, developing extraordinary depth and complexity. Drinkers should expect rich flavours of fruit cake, dried fruits, nuts, vanilla ice cream, toasted oak, dried cherries, liquorice, toffee, a hint of smoke, dark chocolate and citrus rind. Also best enjoyed slightly chilled.
A fabulous introduction to one of the most famous port producers, this would make an excellent present for any wine lover.
