The Malt Master Glenfiddich whisky is named in honour of Brian Kinsman, the sixth person at Glenfiddich to hold the title of Malt Master. He was the very first to practice double-maturation at the distillery (though finishes have, of course, been used before), with this whisky aged for several years in “traditional” oak casks, before being aged again in sherry casks.

These casks undergo a heavy charring, giving them a lovely caramelised nature which imparts a greater sweetness to the whisky. Drinkers should expect notes of dried fruit, brown sugar, vanilla, sweet wine and spices, alongside the classic orchard fruit notes one associates with Glenfiddich.
