One of the three bottles in Glen Scotias’s new range released in 2015, the Double Cask is, as suggested by the name, matured in two types of casks. It spends the majority of its maturation period in first fill bourbon barrels, and is then transferred to Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for a finishing period. The fruitiness from the Pedro Ximénez sherry interplays nicely with the house style of Glen Scotia.
