A classic Italian liqueur, known for its rich vanilla flavour.
The brand dates back to 1896, when it was created by Tuscan distiller, Arturo Vaccari. The liqueur was named after Italian war hero, Giuseppe Galliano. The original L’Autentico Galliano also contains vanilla, but this slightly weaker spirit amps up this flavour considerably.
This liqueur is flavoured with vanilla beans, and is presented in Galliano’s iconic tapered bottle.
Galliano Vanilla offers notes of syrupy vanilla, peppermint, cream, liquorice sweet herbs, peppery spice, aniseed and toffee.
Definitely more approachable than the traditional Galliano bottling (and more familiar of the style the product took from the 1970s onwards, prior to Lucas Bols purchase of the brand in 2006), this remains a complex and sophisticated liqueur.
