Young ‘malt spirit’ from Icelandic brand Floki, based in the Eimverk Distillery

While made in the ‘single malt’ fashion, using 100% Icelandic barley, this spirit hasn’t been aged for long enough to be considered whisky.

The final product offers up bright notes of sweet malt, vanilla, pepper, coffee, bread, flint, butterscotch, cinnamon and subtle cloves.

Surprisingly complex for the age, and bottled at a warming 47% ABV, this is an impressive offering from the distillery.
