Evan Williams is, as you might know, a brand produced by the Heaven Hill distillery. This whiskey is a Kentucky straight bourbon and bears no explicit age statement, which means it has been aged for at least 4 years. However, they claim that it has been allowed to age for “much longer than required”, which is rumored to be somewhere between 5–7 years. Our tastes certainly agree with this assessment, and we very much recommend this bourbon as an easy-drinker and perfect entry to the bourbon world. A simple, no-nonsense bourbon.
