After an initial maturation, the spirit is aged in raisin wine barrels, producing a luscious mouthfeel and sweet fruitiness.

Prohibido serves up notes of deep brown sugar, vanilla, prunes, stewed plums, nutmeg, tobacco, dark chocolate, oak, toasted nuts, slight leather and molasses.

Sweet and viscous, this rum is best enjoyed neat or over a single ice cube.
